Leave the bracket aside and screw the mounting-anchor back on, and put the front manifold back on and screw the main screws back in. Once the volume buttons and the bracket holding them in have been removed, you should be able to thread the usb connector back through its hole but leaving it hanging loose. though I need to open it up again to verify =S
Note that any damage to this extremely delicate cable or its connections will render the GearVR a mere hunk of plastic it will no longer interface with your phone. Once this is out of the way, you can VERY VERY GENTLY remove the physical volume buttons and the ribbon cable leading to them. You essentially have to remove some of the smallest screws in the world to undo/remove the plastic anchor(s) that hold the front lense manifold on. De-focus the manifold out a little further, and it should very delicately pop off, still being held in by a very delicate robbon cable. Uncover the screws on the front of the unit, unscrew the large ones. There's a surprising lack of how-to's on the web, isn't there?ĭe-focus the frontplate/lense manifold so that it has extended out as far as it can go.
